Name: Johei Nicholi
Race: Male centaur
Class: Knight/Paladin

Johei is a young centaur, with straw-coloured hair and sparklish green eyes, of age between his 10th and 11th birthday.

A) General Attiude in Public/Personality -

His general personality may not be one becoming for a future knight, but it is one that grants him friends among his peers and superiors. To put it straightforwardly, he is a happy, kind, optimistic young boy with a lot of faith in the power of good- and so his own capabilities to stop evil- who knows little of magic and has a relatively awkward memory unless it involves very important things. Though he may possess good tactical potential, he is still a 10-year-old, and usually sports a let's-do-stuff-as-we-go-along attitude rather than plan things out. You could even say he's slightly ditzy in nature. But despite his shortcomings, he's a good person, and his whole air of innocence and perplexedness at new events endear him to the hearts of others.

B) Social Background/History -
B) Morals and beliefs -

Currently, at his young age, he is a promising young apprentice knight, and though he can't be called a genius or a gifted intellectual, he has a brave soul that wishes for justice. By nature an optimist, Johei believes in the ultimate triumph of good over evil, white over black, the yin versus yang. Many would say- and do say- that just as light cannot exist with darkness, and the same is true of darkness regarding light, so there cannot prevail just one of the two forces- either both sides of the coin, or no coin. But however intelligent that statement may seem, the truth for Johei is what he can see with his own eyes. Demonic deeds bring about suffering and torment to everyone, and it can't be true that there is no sense in fighting to prevent that, so people can be happy. Yes, it can't be true.

Johei's origins can be traced back from , to the estate of the squire Eric Nicholi, descendant of the same Eric Nicholi that fought with the Shining Force of so long ago. The first and only child of two good parents, his good nature and the careful and strict eye of Eric, his father, kept him from being spoiled by an easy young life and have molded him as an optimistic, humble child who may not have much taste for literary and intellectual matters, but is surely endowed with his fair share of intelligence and an innate knack for fighting. Again, the warm and vigilant eye of his parents kept him from becoming a violent brute; always reminding him to use strength as a last resort and, when necessary, with maximum prejudice.

Seeing their son's enthusiasm for martial matters, both parents decided to send him to study under , a famous Paladin who was rumoured to be the best swordsman any generation of centaurs had ever known. Parting with their blessings and tears in his wake, Johei left his parents' country estate shortly after his 8th birthday with a heart full of both happiness and sadness. For, though he knew that his true vocation was to become a knight and that would provide the best teaching he would ever know, he also knew he would miss his parents, whom he would most likely not see for years.

2 and a half years have passed since then, and Johei has accquired a good technique with the blade and developed his innocent beliefs in justice and fairness. Not having many religious inclinations, Johei prefers to believe in Mitula herself and the defeat of darkness rather than any singular creed. And again, though his first reaction upon meeting a demon or a devil will be most likely negative, he does not own the kind of stubborn pride he would need to keep opinions that are not supported by facts.
